  The Titanic Sub Was Made Cheap—and That May Have Sealed Its Fate: The US Coast Guard has confirmed that the Titan submersible experienced a “catastrophic implosion” when it submerged to view the  Titanic  wreckage, killing all five passengers aboard. The rescue operation continued past the projected deadline for the available oxygen supply before it was called off on Thursday when several parts of the Titan were found in a “debris field” approximately 1,600 feet from the wreckage of the Titanic at the bottom of the sea floor. Indian Military Academy An officer training academy of the Indian Army The  Indian Military Academy  ( IMA ) is an officer-training  academy  of the  Indian Army  in  Dehradun ,  Uttarakhand . It was established in 1932 following a recommendation by a military committee set up under the chairmanship of  Field Marshal Philip Chetwode . From a class of 40 male cadets in 1932, IMA now has a sanctioned capacity of 1,650. Cadets undergo a training course varying between 3 and 16 months depending on entry criteria. On completion of the course at IMA cadets are permanently commissioned into the army as  Lieutenants . Quick Facts : Former name, Motto ... The Academy, spread over 1,400 acres (5.7 km 2 ), houses the  Chetwode  Hall,  Khetarpal  Auditorium,  Somnath  Stadium,  Salaria  Aquatic Centre,  Hoshiar Singh  Gymnasium and other facilities that facilitate the training of cadets.
